Questions and answers

Who does the repair?
We pass your request to the independent local mobile RV repair business we work with. That business contacts you, quotes the job, does the work and bills you directly.
Does it cost anything to use this site?
No. Sending a request is free for RV owners. You only pay the repair business for work you agree to.
How much does mobile RV repair cost?
It depends on the job and the parts. Many mobile RV repair businesses charge a trip or diagnostic fee to come out, and then quote the repair. Ask about both before they come.
Will I get a written estimate?
Ask for one before any work starts. For repairs on motor vehicles, California law says the repair dealer has to give you a written estimate and get your OK before doing the work, and can't charge more without your consent (Business and Professions Code section 9884.9). Even for work that law may not cover, like a travel trailer's fridge, a written quote protects you.
How do I check the repair business?
Ask for their business name and how long they've done RV work, and check their reviews. California's Bureau of Automotive Repair registers repair dealers, and you can look up a registration on the bureau's website at bar.ca.gov. Ask the tech about insurance and any warranty on parts and labor.
How fast will someone contact me?
We can't promise a time. It depends on the season and how busy the repair business is. Fall through spring is the busy season here. If it's urgent, say so in your request.
What areas do you cover?
The Coachella Valley: Indio, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Thousand Palms, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells and nearby. If you're farther out, send a request anyway and tell us where you are.
Can a tech come to my RV park or resort?
Usually, yes. Some resorts have rules for outside vendors, like checking in at the gate. Put your park name, space number and gate instructions in your request.
Do they work on engines and transmissions?
Most mobile RV repair businesses focus on the coach side: AC, appliances, electrical, slides, roofs and plumbing. Engine, transmission and chassis work on a motorhome usually needs a truck or RV shop.
What happens to my information?
We share your request only with the repair business we refer you to, so they can contact you about the job. We don't sell it. See the privacy page for details.
Is there a phone number?
Not yet. For now, the request form is the way to reach us.
